Emergency recovery drop off for a non-start fault on a full electric Peugeot e2008. Vehicle had run out of charge and had to be towed off the road. Found every fault code possible to be present on the vehicle and would not start or select any gears. Vehicle charged, DC DC converter reset and running as normal again.

This Mercedes GLE Hybrid is operating on the engine only at the moment, due to what initially appears to be a high voltage isolation fault. In-depth and targeted diagnostics are next on the agenda to pinpoint the component at fault.

Following diagnosis for erratic charge levels and range, the battery contained 4 weak modules. On this occasion, it was more economical to source a replacement tested battery pack. The old battery pack was purchased in exchange and the remaining good modules will be repurposed for solar rather than disposed of.

After checking and confirming all of the components in the hybrid system were safe and carrying out a general hybrid vehicle health check, which we offer for all vehicles, regardless of the work booked in. We were able to identify the fault causing this Lexus CT200h to cut out randomly to a failing engine throttle body. Unfortunately it was beyond cleaning up, and had to be replaced.

Vehicle in a no drive state and recovered to us. After extensive diagnostics, the contactor box was found to have suffered from significant water ingress. Our repair has been carried out and investigations are underway to identify the source of the water.
